Siam Piwat — the group behind ICONSIAM and Siam Paragon — has announced ICONPHUKET, according to Nation Thailand: an investment of 10 billion baht ($300 million), opening in 2029. The project is part of the Synthesis Ark Phuket district: $1.5 billion, 500 rai (80 hectares), with the first phase fully completed by 2032.

- according to Siam Piwat's estimate, the project expects 80,000-100,000 visitors per day
- according to the company, the project will create 50,000-80,000 jobs
Nearby, on Si Sunthon Road — already being called "Phuket's Sukhumvit" — plans are underway for the Pop Phuket mall by Central, the second phase of Porto de Phuket, new community malls, and the North London Collegiate School Phuket, which will open in 2028.
